Instagram audience quality checker
Live public-profile check. We do not sample follower accounts, so we will not print a fake-follower percentage.
Free, no sign up. We read the public profile once and score the ratios. We never message the creator and we never tell them who looked.
What we look at, and what we cannot see
This is a public-profile quality check, not a follower-list audit. We read the profile once, the way you would if you opened it yourself, and score four numbers against what accounts of the same size normally do.
Post count against followers
Twenty thousand followers and two posts is the oldest shape there is. It is also a real person who deleted their old grid, which is why we say the ratio out loud instead of naming a cause.
Following against followers
Following five thousand accounts to get five thousand back is a strategy, not an audience. Small accounts are left alone here, because everybody starts by following people.
Engagement on recent posts
Likes plus comments on the last dozen or so public posts, divided by followers. It is the one signal that costs you money directly: an audience that does not react is an audience that will not walk in.
What we cannot see
Who the followers are, where they live, how old the accounts are, or whether any of them were bought. Reading that needs a sample of the follower list. We do not take one, so we do not claim it.
The engagement ranges we score against
Engagement drops as an account grows, so one flat number would fail every large creator and pass every small fake. These are the ranges we compare against. Below the low end gets flagged, and less than half the low end gets flagged harder.
Every account starts at 100. Very few posts for the follower count costs 25. A thin posting history costs 15. Following nearly as many accounts as follow back costs 15, and following more accounts than have followed costs another 15. Engagement below the range above costs 20, and engagement under 40% of the low end costs 40. If there are not enough public posts to measure engagement at all, that costs 10, because the check is then running on half its inputs. If the feed is nearly empty but the profile does have Reels, we drop the 25 and charge 10 instead, because Reels sit on a separate tab and this check does not count them yet. Eighty and up reads strong, 55 and up reads mixed, anything lower reads weak.
How this differs from Modash and the rest
Modash-style checkers sample thousands of follower accounts. We pull the public profile through the same live-stats path CollabVue already uses (about one cent per thousand checks) and score ratios. A cafe should still look at the comments.
That is also why this is free and why there is no sign up on it. It costs us almost nothing to run, so we would rather it be useful to somebody who is about to pay a creator than locked behind an account.
Questions people ask
Does this tell me what percentage of followers are fake?
No, and nothing on this page will. A percentage like that comes from sampling thousands of follower accounts one by one and grading each. We do not do that, so any number we printed would be made up. What you get instead is a read of the public profile and a plain answer about whether its shape matches accounts of the same size.
What does the score actually look at?
Four public numbers: followers, following, Feed-tab post count, and likes plus comments on recent feed posts divided by followers. That post count is the Feed tab, not Reels. Every threshold is listed on this page, so you can redo the arithmetic yourself.
Why does it say 0 feed posts when they have Reels?
Instagram keeps Feed and Reels on separate tabs. This check reads the public Feed tab only. An account can have thousands of followers and a full Reels tab, and still show 0 feed posts here. That is not a tool error. Open the Reels tab yourself. We cannot score engagement from Reels yet, so we score follower ratios only and we say so on the result.
Why did a creator I trust score badly?
A low score is not an accusation. Somebody who posts twice a year, or who turned off likes, or who follows a lot of accounts for research will score low with a completely real audience. Treat it as a reason to open the account and read the comments, not a verdict.
Can I check a private account?
No. There is nothing public to read on one, so the check comes back empty rather than guessing.
Do you store the accounts I check?
We keep the result in memory for a day so the same username does not cost us a second lookup, and that is all. Checking an account here does not add it to CollabVue, does not tell the creator anything, and does not create a profile.
Checking one account at a time gets old
On CollabVue every listed creator has been through an identity review, and the ones we have live numbers for carry this same audience read on their card. You search by city and niche instead of guessing usernames.
